About Us

Khalil Tarazi was born on November 29th, 1960 in Beirut in a Lebanese family already working in artistic domain. His grandfathers, artisan, fabricated handmade carpets while his father, cabinetmaker, excelled in the domain of the reproduction of ancient furniture and objects of art. Today in retirement, it was converted into the representation of ancient Lebanese houses and of tourist sites in models.

Khalil grows in this environment impregnated with painting, wood, nature and decides to enrich this knowledge. He acquires his baccalaureate at the cultural secondary school in 1978, and acquires a certificate in hotel management in Beirut in 1982.

Khalil begins his professional career in woodwork and oriental decoration in the workshop of the hotel Alcazar then in Doctor Farid Serhal’s castle in Jezzine. In 1986, it restored Lebanese castles, ancient pieces of furniture, wall frescoes, and pictures dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th century.

Then, he makes a trip to Milan where he studies fine arts. Since his return to Beirut in 1990, Khalil works in churches and for individuals to whom he accomplishes wall painting, pictures, and trompe l’œil.

Today, Khalil excels in restoration and devotes himself to painting reproducing still lifes, landscapes, and portraits, and is also applied to give life to landscapes again and Lebanese houses destroyed by time and war.
